Apple M9267G/A DVI To Video Adapter Review
I use this to hook my MacBook Pro up to a CRT television through the RCA jack. It works as well as one could expect from a low resolution TV. No complaints here.
This product is solid, and it gave me no difficulty. It was perfect for hooking up to my roommate’s old tube tv. That being said, if you have an HDMI input on your TV, or whatever you’re linking up to, just get a DVI to HDMI converter. They’re about 10 to 20 bucks on NewEgg and will give you a much better picture than this will. (Plus, most HDTV sets will talk to your computer and automatically set the display size when you use HDMI; this product will not).
Liked the product and in a handy size. Picture quality is great for the outputs it supports on a standard definition TV. Looks cool too. If you have an HDTV get a DVI->HDMI cable instead… as it’s cheaper and has better quality.
This cable works great and is super easy to use. After reading the around it seemed that most of the reviewers said that it made the quality bad, but using a standard def tv I can’t tell a difference at all in straight tv quality to from-the-mac quality.
This product works! Finally! I was trying to create a media center with an older G4 Mac Mini I got of craigs list. Paired with 2 1.5TB firewire hard drives, all I needed was a connection from the mini to to the TV. I first tried a DVI-to-Component adapter…No luck. No matter how I configured it, I would get squiggly lines. Then I got this little number. WOW. No configuring. No setup. Just plug it in and BOOM! It just works! Now at first, I didn’t think that the picture would be sharp due to the conversion, but I was wrong. It’s as clear as any picture you would get from a current high-grade DVD player. I’m totally satisfied.
