I reside inside a major US city, and if I need to get out of town inside a hurry, this device will assist me get there. The spike on the back end would be very helpful for gaining entry to (or obtaining out of) buildings, and could also be useful in search and rescue operations. I also do lots of hiking and backpacking and have tested this tool in some heavy wood cutting/splitting tasks and it performed admirably. The blade is extremely sharp out of the box and holds its edge quite nicely. I have to say that did manage to chip it a bit by letting it go into the dirt, but that can (and probably will) happen to any steel. A few passes with the sharpening stone got it proper out and it was good as new again.

Great product. I’ve bought other SOG products and they have always been with the highest quality. I was interested inside a tomahawk from RMJ Forge but didn’t want to spend that a lot so I got the Fusion instead. I was not disappointed. Very well made.

Did not know what to expect from this kind of device. It is well balanced, stays sharp thru use, and can serve a various number of purposes! I use it as a secondary tool while hunting and backpacking. Sometimes the folding shovel isn’t quiet sufficient. All in all, I would recommend this tool to my friends that work and play in the same type of enviroment as I do.
